Baked Cheddar Cavatappi also known as Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces uncooked cavatappi pasta
  • 2 cans (10.5 ounces each) Campbell’s Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • 3 1/4 cups shredded white cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cook the cavatappi according to the package directions.
  2. Drain the cavatappi and return it to the saucepot. Stir in the cheddar cheese soup, 3 cups of shredded cheese, milk, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Spoon the pasta mixture into a 3-quart baking dish. In a small bowl, mix the panko, melted butter, and remaining 1/4 cup of shredded cheese. Sprinkle the panko mixture over the pasta.
  4. Bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
